COMA (Marius Bubat and Georg Conrad) fuse dance music’s communal properties with an indie sensibility. Rich in melody and melancholy, they may have their roots firmly in Cologne’s fabled club scene, but their effervescent, groove-tipped synth-pop blurs boundaries and strays outside the lines.
After releasing a steady stream of records that includes their 2013 debut In Technicolor and 2015’s This Side of Paradise—featuring singles that earned praise from Pitchfork, XLR8R, Resident Advisor, and more—Bubat and Conrad released their last album Voyage Voyage in 2019 on City Slang.
Today they return with a new single "Beyond You and Me” : a collaboration with Brazilian singer/producer Dillon (Bpitch Control). Check it out here!
A duet sung from both sides of a difficult relationship that’s recently ended, to the backdrop of COMA’s signature crystalline production, it's a bittersweet slice of heart-break-on-the-dancefloor and electro-pop perfection.Â
